Louis specializes in weird angry poetry. Someday that may become a marketable specialization, but he suspects today is not that day.
Louis attends 3-6 shows a week, where he live-sketches bands for a popular local music blog. Dogs and eye dialect are a couple of other things that are also important to him.
At Emerson, Louis R completed radicalizing courses like Gender in a Global Perspective and Cultural Constructions of Identity. He also learned a thing or two about electronic publishing, book publishing, magazine publishing, international women writers, and some old dudes from the British and American literary canon. His workshops included introductory through advanced poetry and introductory fiction.
Louis R studied book, magazine, and digital publishing at Emerson College. He is actively involved in a DIY publishing scene that spans an extended community of young writers, artists, and musicians up and down the east coast.
Louis is an active participant in his local music community as an illustrator, which means he draws bands for music blogs and even creates artwork for album covers, tour posters, Bandcamp layouts, and merch. Growing up, he served multiple ensembles as a percussionist and organized a student music showcase in his hometown. He also worked for a high-stress academic year as New Media Director at WERS 88.9fm, Emerson College's student-run non-commercial radio station.
