Education

University of North Carolina at Wilmington

Many people questioned my decision to study philosophy and religion in college. I am so grateful that I didn't listen to any of them. Studying the classics, spending my time reading and writing, discovering the importance of logic and rationale, and truly learning to think have had an invaluable effect on my life.

Green Living

Once she began thinking about how we live our lives, it struck her that she did not know how to even clean without using disposable wipes. This really bothered her.
Her journey began with cleaning products, then delved into beauty and makeup. The ingredients allowed in formulations that we put on our skin astounded her. Thus, she started a new facet of the journey.
Fast forward a few years, she powers her home using solar, composts her food, gardens to feed herself as much as possible, feeds that garden using grey and rainwater, and is currently building a dog waste composter in her backyard.
She volunteers for the non-profit Plastic Ocean Project picking up trash on highways and beaches, and writes a blog for a green furniture website, GG's Home Decor. This blog covers everything from toxins in furniture to avoid, certifications to look for when shopping, plants that help detoxify the air, how to shop greener, and much more to come!

Nutrition

Writing content that matters, especially when it comes to helping people better their lives through food and nutrition, is content she would love to help create.
She was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and had to completely change her thoughts about food to live a healthy lifestyle. Humans need good, clean food to survive, and everyone should have access to such information clearly and concisely. Unfortunately, there is an incredible amount of disinformation out there, and it's no wonder people are confused about what's healthy and what isn't.
She has worked at an alternative therapy and acupuncture clinic focused on TCM and functional medicine. She enjoys reading books like Clean 7, Blue Zones, Anti-Inflammatory Diet, and more.

Cannabis has changed her life. When she was 14, she was diagnosed with epilepsy and put on a series of equally terrible drugs. It wasn't until she began experimenting in college that she found cannabis, and it was shortly thereafter she realized what full-spectrum CBD could do for her brain and my life.
She has petitioned alongside veterans and the non-profit Veterans Alliance for Holistic Alternatives (VAHA) at the capitol in Raleigh. She spoke with senators and told stories about how cannabis can benefit many people.
She has actively supported cannabis reform in North Carolina and is a talented writer.
She has written articles on the history of cannabis, the benefits of CBD, and the effects this plant has had on the epilepsy community.

Cooking/Beverage

3 Projects Completed

She is an intuitive chef who strives to use food and drink as medicine. You are fighting disease or feeding it every time you ingest anything.
She has 10+ years of bartending experience and loves to create new concoctions to enliven people's drinking pleasures. From using herbal teas to unfamiliar and exotic peppers and spices, her customers are always happy to have their horizons expanded.

Garden

Her experience in this is mainly applied hard work and research. During COVID, like many others, she lost her job. So she and a friend decided to turn her backyard into a farm. They had a successful year and a half run before her business partner had to move for family reasons. She continues this garden today, not for profit, but to create a space to encourage pollinators, to eat delicious organic food, and to spend days getting dirty.
She has excellent know-how when it comes to gardening and is eager to turn that knowledge into content for you

She fell in love with reading, research, and writing. When she lost her job during COVID, she found solace in books, and eventually wrote blogs for the Hoth Blogger. During her time with Hoth, she improved SEO tactics while writing about various subjects. From cannabis to industrial toilet paper holders, from the history of condoms to the weirdly eclectic items found in vending machines, to Jesus Christ himself. She thoroughly enjoyed learning about topics never thought about before.
Did you know that the U.S. military had to change its stance on abstinence because, during WWI, so many soldiers were unable to fight because they were sick with syphilis? Condoms became a standard issue after that, spurring the development and research that led to the condoms we have and love today.
She currently freelance writes for GG's home decor, a new company in Wilmington that focuses on sourcing sustainable and affordable furniture. https://ggdecor.shop/blogs/news
