Dena W earned her Master’s Degree in Human Behavior and a Master’s in Creative Writing from National University in San Diego, California. She has also studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Control Theory, Psycho-Cybernetics, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She has completed a copywriting certification program from AWAI (American Writers & Artists Inc., Delray Beach, FL.) in copy and content writing, social media and email marketing, writing for the web, and direct-response writing for online sales, as well as, hard copy marketing.

Since graduation her main focus has been on marketing – direct sales, copywriting, and writing for the web. She co-owned and managed a direct marketing company with her husband working, primarily, with local newspapers. She managed the business office, human resources, helped with training and marketing. Her treasured job, though, was writing. She designed and maintained their company website, wrote copy for other web developers, and wrote a self-help book designed to help people become aware of the negative thoughts and core beliefs that keep them from becoming successful. The techniques described in her book were used to help their sales rep. Those who accepted and applied these techniques were hands-down more successful than the ones who didn’t.
Before returning to school for her degrees, she spent 40 years in varied positions in accounting, office management, and business software development. She has worked in different areas of county government, as well as, businesses in the private sector.

Interests

Dena is an active member of a local church and a member of a women's support group. She enjoys spending time with her grandson who lives close-by. Dena always has a book or two where ever she may be. When a few minutes of free time arises, you will find her deep into her story. She also enjoys writing Flash Fiction with a twist.
