Candy S. has been writing for pleasure since she was about twelve years old, including stories, poems, journals and blogs. She spent five or six years writing for a small weekly newspaper. As a journalist, she penned news articles, feature stories, press releases and a weekly column. She has also designed web sites, and is familiar with the concept of placing keywords within the coding for search engine optimization. While writing internet articles is fairly new to her, she has had several published within the last month. She understands the concept of repeating certain keywords throughout the article so that search engines will pull this particular story up when online users request certain information. Candy holds a high school diploma, and has taken a couple of college courses in association with jobs she was holding at the time. One class was in a travel-related field and the other one was in marketing. She has also earned a diploma from the online division of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in web design. Her varied jobs throughout the years have given her a lot of experience in different areas besides desktop publishing, she has worked in food service, real estate, health care, retail, travel and janitorial fields. She has also raised ten children, and home-schooled six of them for two years. She now is a proud grandma and great grandma. Besides her family, she loves animals, especially dogs; crafts; social networking and reading. She is a born-again Christian, and enjoys reading the Bible and explaining her views on religious doctrine. She is hoping to turn her passion for writing into a full-time career.
