Then she became a program assistant at Olin College of Engineering and did some report/database and website management/development. She ended up as a fact-checker for a research firm and spent 7 years as a QA/software tester. Then she wrote articles about data and information management, including databases.

Prior to that, Michelle worked on a research project informing readers about passenger safety material availability. She spent seven years working for higher education institutions as a bookseller, a program assistant, and in various temp positions.
