Mary is an international speaker, author, seminar leader and coach with a diverse background as a business owner, entrepreneur, freelance writer, author and business executive. She is a certified speaker, coach and trainer with the John Maxwell Group, holds the SHRM-SCP designation for human resources professionals, and a member of the National Speakers Association for over 25 years. She has worked with a variety of organizations, non-profits and individuals over the years through MJN Consulting, an organizational change, leadership and communications company she founded in 1992. Her company is a certified DBE in the State of Georgia.

Mary is an award-winning speaker, master evaluator and executive coach. She has appeared on TV, radio and online as a motivational expert, career coach, and lifestyle contributor. She is past president of the Savannah Toastmasters Club #700. Mary is also a Dale Carnegie graduate and has worked with that organization to help others to achieve their goals.

Mary is a freelance writer, and author. In 2014, she published her first book, “Emily’s Best Birthday Party Ever!.” Her second book, “Say It Now! Say It Right! Tips To Handle The Tough (and Tender) Conversations in Any Business or Life Situation,” was published by Motivational Press, in 2016. She has written hundreds of feature stories, blogs and articles for The Savannah Morning News and print media, various online business, career and personal development websites. She is a contributor to the Amazon.com best-selling book, “1 Habit for Women Action Takers", Envision Media 2020 and "1 Habit for Home-Based Business". She is currently working on a mystery/thriller novel, release date targeted for mid-2020.

Mary has over 25 years as change agent, process improvement consultant, and technical writer. She was certified in Total Quality Management/Statistical Process Control by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and has led ISO 9000 certification projects for both Monsanto Company and Garrett Aviation (Augusta, GA). She conducted organization change projects for a variety of organizations, including August Technical College, Augusta, GA.

Mary has designed and delivered hundreds of seminars on management/leadership, communications, customer service and human resources management in the U.S. England, Scotland, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She was a certified trainer for SkillPath Seminars, and a career transition consultant. She has presented at SHRM National Conferences. Her topics include motivation, leadership, communications, customer service, personal and professional development.

After living on both U.S. coasts and a two-year stint in Saudi Arabia, Mary settled into a 1940’s bungalow in Ardsley Park in Savannah, GA. She continues to write, speak, blog, coach and consult with individuals and organizations on leadership, communications and personal growth. Mary is a member of the CEAC Advisory Board for the Savannah/Chatham County Public School System and enjoys singing Alto II with the Savannah Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the St. John the Baptist Cathedral Choir. She also loves spending time with her two grown children and five grandchildren.
