Mariana specializes in communications for nonprofit and advocacy organizations. Mariana has over five years of experience in the nonprofit industry. Her portfolio of work includes a variety of project types: marketing stories, community reports, white papers, informational articles, advocacy communications (Op-eds, letters to the editor, etc.)

Mariana's areas of expertise include nonprofit communications (general), political advocacy, education reform, philanthropy, and poverty reform.

Before entering the nonprofit field, Mariana received her Master's degree in teaching from the University of Washington and spent three years teaching high school history.

Mariana has a B.A. in history from Loyola University-Chicago, and also spent two years studying journalism at the University of Missouri.
