Meg attended University of Northern Iowa (UNI) immediately after high school. She earned a bachelors degree in English with a minor in Professional Writing. Part of her coursework included working with local clients on marketing and copy writing projects for their businesses.

Meg worked as a copy editor and proofreader for the Iowa Farm Bureau statewide newspaper publication for three years. She also wrote blog posts and articles for Farm2Ranch, an ag news website startup for a year.

Recent past press release topics included construction work on a dealership and a 50-year anniversary celebration event for an ad agency.
