Jean's primary expertise is authoritative research-based writing. She has used her research skills to write articles, press releases, infographics, and video scripts in a variety of areas, including instructional design, online learning, nursing, healthcare, edtech, psychology, assessment, open educational resources (OER), higher education, and accreditation in higher education.
Jean's interests include writing research articles, managing social media, and creating visual graphics (infographics) for small businesses. Topics of interest include psychology, instructional design, online learning, neuromarketing, social media marketing, business, science, visual arts, and higher education.
Jean attended the University of Pennsylvania and attained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She co-founded the Penn Poet's Society with a fellow classmate.
Jean earned her Master's degree in Psychology at Washington State University (WSU), where she trained in the Craft Psychopharmacology Lab. At WSU Jean co-founded the Psi Chapter of Graduate Women in Science (GWIS).
In May 2019, Jean will earn her P.h.D in Education with an emphasis on Instructional Design for Online Learning.
Jean has 5 years of experience writing articles and blog posts about topics in higher education, including learning outcomes assessment, educational technology, Open Educational Resources (OER), and personalized and adaptive learning.
Jean has written multiple research papers related to environmental science, physiological psychology, and developmental psychology. She has also created instructional supplements for environmental and psychological science textbooks.
As an RN, Jean has written an array of research papers and research articles related to nursing, medicine, and the health sciences.
Jean has managed social media for six different small companies. Twitter was included in the overall social media strategy for each business, and posts were created to raise awareness of the brand, as well as educate and inform the audience of the business's unique business proposition. To increase audience engagement, Twitter posts were a blend of photos/graphics, videos, and text. Jean also participated in Twitter chats on behalf of the companies.
Jean has written copy for three press releases for an edtech company in New York announcing partnerships and new services.
