As a contract technical writer assigned to the Legacy Visa Systems Maintenance and Support Contract, Juliana wrote, edited, and provided graphics for Department of State installation guides, user manuals, system release notes and project plans. These documents provide information on several computer applications. The applications facilitate processing of foreign nationals' petitions for either United States residency or visitation and record the receipt and storage of applicants' forms and payment for consular services provided abroad. In addition, the applications generate machine readable visas and invoices for payment of these visas.
As a writer/editor for the Housing and Urban Development Tenant Rental Certification Assistance System project, Juliana formatted documents with and without Microsoft Word templates. She edited manuals for grammatical consistency and correctness and inserted technical revisions provided by subject-matter experts. Juliana also assisted analysts and application testers in the development of various manuals.
