Annie double-majored in English and French. She studied abroad at the L'Université D'Orléans in France.
Annie is currently a student of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She lives in Houston and travels to Boston for her residencies.
For six years, Annie contributed over eighty blog posts to the former blog, Cupboard Sundries. These blog posts included research, recipes, cultural observations, interviews, and restaurant reviews. An essay adapted from a blog post was published in the print anthology Family Stories from the Attic. Another essay about hollandaise sauce and emulsification was chosen to be featured on The Dirty Spoon website and radio show.
Annie traveled and written about France, Greece, Italy, Houston, Mississippi, and Kentucky. She specializes in gastronomic tourism and camping. She has written about several vineyards and winegrower of Bordeaux, Barolo, and Tuscany. She focuses on the people, landscapes, voices, experiences, and tastes that bring a place alive. Her photos and stories have appeared on her former blog, Cupboard Sundries.
