In addition to coursework in the medical sciences, Fuce opted to pursue interests in other areas, such as mental health counseling & behavioral medicine, clinical investigation, and public health. She began her program with a course on the development of teaching skills in the biomedical sciences.
For close to ten years, Fuce studied bacteriology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology and virology as it relates to human health and disease such as allergy and immune dysfunction, cancer, cardiovascular disorders, infectious diseases and inheritable defects.
As an editorial consultant for WebMD, Fuce has written more than 2,800 feature health articles for magazines such as Prevention, Life Extension, Figure, Readerâ€™s Digest, Womanâ€™s Day, Parents, Natural Health, and Success. In addition, Fuce wrote extensively for the new Reader's Digest Medical Breakthroughs (2001) on groundbreaking medical treatments for women.
