Hardeep S. obtained her Juris Doctorate from CUNY School of Law in 2017. She has also successfully passed the Uniform Bar Exam in July 2017 and is currently awaiting admission to the New York Bar.

While in her final year at law school she began working as a freelance legal content writer. During that time she wrote pieces designed to provide legal information to a non-legal audience searching for an attorney.

However, she also has experience writing memos, briefs and motions as an intern at the Legal Aid Society and the Correctional Association of New York. As an intern in the Juvenile Rights Practice she had the chance to observe client interviews and appear on the record under a student practice order. During her internship at the Correctional Association of New York she had an in-depth look at how to organize for legislative change. She considers this internship to be one of her greatest accomplishments because in 2017 Gov. Cuomo signed a bill that would stop New York from automatically prosecuting 16 and 17 year old juveniles as adults.
