Kelsey graduated summa cum laude from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where she completed an English Writing thesis for her major and minored in advertising through the Business Department. She spent her sophomore year studying abroad in Ireland at the National University of Ireland - Maynooth.
Kelsey received her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. She completed a fiction novel as her thesis, accompanied by a Teaching Practicum, and various academic papers.
Kelsey has worked in the travel industry since 2011, and has been writing blogs, enews, catalog copy, and more since 2014. She also started a travel blog with a focus on historic, repurposed architecture in 2015.
Kelsey created her personal blog, Hipstorical, in 2015 because she loves blogging so much that she chooses to do it in her free time! This project has given her expertise in writing about food, travel, history, and architecture.
Because of Kelsey's background in marketing since 2014, she is well-qualified to write about an array of marketing topics, from content marketing to Facebook best practices.
Kelsey has written blogs for Hipstorical, DuVine Cycling + Adventure Co., Road Scholar, Kayak, Stay.com, and Spot, among others.
Kelsey has been producing catalog copy for DuVine Cycling + Adventure Co. and Road Scholar since 2014. She specializes in image-rich description, for which she credits her background in creative writing.
Kelsey has provided copy for over 100 promotional emails for DuVine Cycling + Adventure. Co and Road Scholar, along with myriad other marketing projects, from web landing pages to direct mail print pieces.
