Kelsey attended the Pennsylvania State University—University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Theatre. While attending, she was on staff of The Daily Collegian, one of the top-ranked student newspapers in the United States, as a writer and editor.
Kelsey has served as the food editor for What's Up? Annapolis magazine and the managing editor of School Nutrition magazine. Currently, she serves as the Contributing Editor for SN, and is responsible for writing the monthly "Food Focus" article, which consists of approximately 1,500 words and 5 recipes on a chosen topic.
Kelsey has formal education in the fitness industry and is an avid fitness enthusiast. To date, she has complete two half-marathons, one 10K and a dozen or so 5K road races. She has written for Livestrong.com and other online fitness publications.
As the managing editor of School Nutrition magazine, Kelsey frequently wrote about the latest in food and nutrition trends.
Kelsey has completed four years of Annual Reports for two nonprofit associations, School Nutrition Association and Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO). For APGO, Kelsey also served as the designer of the report.
As the public relations chair for the Children's Theatre of Annapolis, Kelsey regularly writes press releases advertising upcoming performances, workshops and events at the local performing arts venue.
In addition to manning personal blogs, Kelsey has written blog posts for a number of nonprofit associations and web content companies. Blog posts includes lists, tip articles, profiles, recipes and more.
