Cristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education with a major in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University on August 11, 2006. Her activities included the FAU Chapters of ACDA & NAfME, University Chamber Singers, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Women's Chorus.
Cristina earned her Master of Music in Choral Conducting at Florida Atlantic University on May 6, 2016. She attended FAU on a full scholarship and served as a graduate teaching assistant while working full time as the choral director at John I. Leonard High School in Palm Beach County.
Cristina has over ten years of experience in the choral field and has fine tuned her skills while she was seeking her Master of Music in Performance. She has written various essays on choral literature from the macro to micro level of research and study. Along with her writings, Cristina has accompanied her essays with score analysis and performance practices appropriate for each piece studied.
