Finn worked his way through undergraduate and graduate school as academic writing consultant while teaching English as a second language on the side. He spent a year working as an editor for a small technical writing press, and is the founding member of a creative writing conference. He has presented on creative writing craft and technique in various venues, has worked as an interpretive transcriptionist and freelance editor, and has taught composition at the college level for over six years. Having authored four novels and forty-five short stories, as well as guided others in the creation of their own works, Finn is experienced in both the theory and the practice of the written word.
