Richard received professional vocational training in the electrical and mechanical components of inboard engines, stern drives, outboard engines and diesel engines. With his skills as a writer and his instruction and knowledge of this select field of engineering, Richard is able to convey complex technical concepts to his customers in a way that is fluid, straightforward and easy to understand.
Richard received his diploma in order to apply for his USCG issued Captain's license. This program included topics on safe commercial and recreational boat operation, coastal navigation, and the legal responsibilities of those who operate boats on US coastal waters. Richard's knowledge in these areas and his skills as a writer enable him to easily communicate the broad variety of rules and regulations and the many technical aspects of safe marine vessel operation to his customers.
