Kevin has special expertise in law, literary analysis, and higher education. However, his voracious curiosity draws him to many subject areas, including science, environmental issues, and pop culture.
Kevin loves pictures as well as words. He is creator of the environmental comic HURRY UP PLEASE IT’S TIME, which has been running online for over two years. Kevin draws all the art for the strip and co-writes and co-edits the text. Comics is an art form that demands a special economy with words and seems to require spending profligate periods of time cutting 10-word word balloons down to five words.
Kevin received a B.A. degree, with High Honors, in English. He was awarded the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in English during his final year.
The focus of Kevin's master's thesis was 19th Century British women writers. He was awarded a fellowship during his studies and graduated with a M.A. in English Literature.
Kevin was a staff member on the New York University Law Review during his second year of law school and was Managing Editor of the NYU Law Review during his third year. He graduate cum laude with a J.D.
Kevin has over 20 years' experience with the law in a variety of roles: as a journal editor, a law clerk, an attorney, a writer, and a teacher. He has also handled legal matters in a wide variety of contexts, including corporate law, insurance defense litigation, municipal law, juvenile proceedings, contracts, criminal law, real estate, and family law. This extensive involvement with applied legal concepts enables Kevin to write on legal topics with clarity, understanding, and confidence.
As founder of Inkfall Studios, Kevin has helped independent creatives bring their projects to fruition, providing development, editorial, and production services for novels, poetry anthologies, comic collections, short stories, blog posts, and scholarly articles. From the early stages of an idea to the final steps of publication, Kevin has experience meeting independent creatives where they are, and helping them through the rest of their project’s journey.
Kevin has years of experience writing blog posts and web copy, both for his own sites and others. He is adept at adapting tone and voice to audience and enjoys writing about virtually any topic.
Kevin both writes and edits newsletter content. He enjoys working with academic and professional content that requires pitching a particular voice to an informed audience.
