After studying at McGill University, Emily moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she worked as a writer, editor and translator for three years. She was the editor of Time Out Buenos Aires and has been a regular contributor to publications such as Paste and The Bubble. In 2016 she traveled to Rio de Janeiro to cover the 2016 Olympics. As a freelancer, she has written for Refinery29, Racked and BuzzFeed. She has also written and edited a series of travel guides for Oasis Collections and now splits her time between South America and California. Emily speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French.
