Karen is a semi-retired professor of English and writing with experience in public and private educational institutions. Throughout her career, she served as a professor and administrator at Regis University College of Professional Studies in Denver, Colorado, as well as other institutions in the Denver Metro area. Over the course of her career, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level academic, business, technical, and creative writing. During her instructional career, beginning in graduate school, Karen also worked independently with graduate students and professional academics, reviewing, editing, and proofreading dissertations and professional journal articles.

In addition to teaching, Karen has also been involved in her community as a volunteer in nonprofit organizations and as an elected official (Town Council, Mayor) where she also applied writing, proofreading, and editorial skills. Karen's experience in administration and management also provide a strong background in and application of business and management practice knowledge.
