Anita’s experience began in college, particularly when taking writing courses, including a journalism course.  Part of Anita’s journalism assignments were to decide interesting topics and to seek and obtain interviews with people relevant to those topics, and write about them.  Anita discovered a joy for this type of writing and the skills she gained helped advance her, as the resident writer, with her employers.

When Anita worked as a trainer for a major telecommunications agency, she realized that the agency documentation was confusing and overwhelming. She noticed that training became more effective when she created supplemental job aids and created modified versions of the agency documentation, written with the audience in mind. Her colleagues and supervisors took notice and relied on her writing style and capabilities. With the pleasure and success she received from writing in the workplace, Anita began to write in her spare time. She has written various published articles for websites and has written business profiles. Anita also takes great joy in writing online reviews, and providing gadget instructions for notable sites.

Anita’s writing skills helped transition her from the telecommunications industry to the electronic health records and software industry. While learning a new industry proved challenging, as well as rewarding, Anita’s writing skills benefited her clients, as well as herself, due to the concise and effective way Anita can convey complex information verbally and in writing.
