The first baseball game Chris ever pitched was at the double-A level in front of 7,000 people. The knuckleballer never played high school or college baseball, and he was 25 when he signed his first pro contract. Then it hit him -- minor league baseball doesn't pay very well. So, Chris applied his education to become a freelance writer to earn extra cash.

Chris started writing freelance on the internet eight years ago, and it quickly branched out from there. He soon found himself writing for his own minor league teams and upkeeping blogs. Eventually, he built his own website. Then orders for website installations began to roll in.

What started as a way to earn extra money on the road turned into a viable career option. He even enjoyed it. The flexibility has allowed him to continue chasing his big league dreams while traveling the world. And for that, he is grateful.
