When not writing fictional and non-fictional pieces, Kassandra can generally be found doing human rights legal work pro bono, stretching on her yoga mat, running around one of Minnesota's scenic lakes, spending time with loved ones or reading several books at once.
While attending Lawrence University, Kassandra pursued a triple major in Comparative Religious Studies, English and Gender Studies in preparation for law school. She also studied playwriting and had several of her original plays produced during that time. She was granted magna cum laude honors from Lawrence University, where she spent much of her non-academic time working on behalf of political, feminist and human rights causes.
While at UCHastings, Kassandra concentrated her studies primarily on Constitutional Law and Human Rights Law in addition to standard bar subjects. She was also a member of the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal and was elected to be an Articles Editor at the start of her second year.
