Michelle has been employed at a traveling hair and make up company called Beauty Entourage for the last ten months, and has written content and blog articles for over a year. Since transitioning to full time in February 2016, she has been promoted to the CMO position in the company. Michelle's weekly schedule includes 2-3 blog articles such as beauty tips, vendor promotions, Q&A material, and documenting events. In addition, she am responsible for the content of both Instagram and Facebook, continually creating content for promotions and upcoming events, hosted by the company, along with artist features and seasonal displays of work. Along with all social media, Google Adwords, and blogging, attention to analytics, SEO and keyword building has been vital to the growth of the company.

Michelle has since taken on the tasks of creating landing pages for the website. She creates a monthly newsletter along with any email promotions or marketing required. Michelle has begun editing videos for blogs and features, as well as social media. Acting as the main liaison for the graphic designer, she has create relationships with other companies, vendors, and venues.

Since graduating, Michelle has also done freelance writing for Interact Media, LLC. For the website, Michelle does freelance writing for various SEO marketing content. She has written a variety of articles describing home and garden products, business descriptions, and how-to tutorials. She is able to utilize my creative talents and vocabulary to reinvent the written aesthetic of ordinary products in order to emphasize desirable traits to consumers. Michelle has taken on tasks as large as one hundred articles over a ten day period consisting of 75-100 words each.

Prior to Interact Media, LLC. Michelle worked as the Assistant Editor at The Submission Magazine, a literary magazine based on my University’s campus in collaboration with my peers and administrators. She built upon essential editing skills in the internship such as proof-reading poetry and prose for proper grammar, mechanics and clarity before being published in the current issue. Michelle researched and gained knowledge in editing as well as assisting the editor-in-chief with other staff members to achieve the best possible magazine layout on schedule.

During this time, Michelle also interned at Westchester Magazine. Here, she was able to gain experience in magazine production as well as staff cooperation, tactful debate, and timely task management. Interaction with a diverse group of peers with the collaborated goal of producing a polished issue on schedule was an important skill I developed while interning. Michelle took the initiative to attend meetings in different departments, assisted in proof-reading and fact-checking, as well as writing articles based on my own assigned interviews.
