John has written extensively for varying purposes.

He has experience in academic writing in connection with the completion of his undergraduate degree at Eckerd College where he majored in Humanities and in graduate school at the University of South Florida where he completed a master's program in history. His writing concentration in graduate school was in the area of post-World-War-II US political and social history. More specifically, he wrote about issues of moral panic and their various intersections with notions of First-Amendment free-speech protection.

He has also written for entertainment purposes. He released several small blog entries a few years ago. The blog was originally a therapeutic tool for him, as he was undergoing a difficult time. Eventually, the blog morphed into more of a stream-of-consciousness entertainment destination.

Further, John is currently a host and MC for several Trivia Night games at bars and restaurants around the Tampa Bay area. It is his contention that writing these trivia questions for the past four-and-a-half years has vastly improved his writing.
