As director of Quality Improvement for the California State University system, John was responsible for writing internal reports relating to improving service to students throughout the CSU, developing training programs, writing and delivering satisfaction surveys, and published a system-wide newsletter sharing ideas for streamlining processes and procedures.
John holds a Certificate in Food Marketing Management from the University of Southern California. He served as Director of Marketing for Psychological Services, Inc., an industrial psychology consulting firm, promoting services to Human Resources executives. He has also worked as an independent consultant, developing marketing materials and client surveys.
In a variety of positions in marketing, consulting, human resources, and state government, John's role was to sell ideas to people. The use of carefully targeted brochures was often the best means for promoting a certain message.
