Brendan's worked with adolescents with eating and anxiety disorders undergoing the Partial Hospitalization Program at Insight BHC. In his capacity as Education Specialist, he coordinates efforts between students, school counselors, Insight staff, and parents to make sure students are able to keep up with their academic work as much as possible while they are in the program and ensure a smooth transition back to school.
He has also tutored students in high school and middle school level math and writing, addressing dyslexia and other learning disabilities. He's logged more than 360 hours of in-person tutoring on the Wyzant web site and has a customer satisfaction rating of 4.9/5 stars.
Brendan taught self-contained and co-taught math and reading classes for students in 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grades. He delivered Orton/Gillingham reading interventions and other RTI reading interventions, as well as taught Math and Reading extensively in a one-on-one setting.
Brendan is also an author and has had his short fiction appear in magazines, anthologies, and podcasts. He has also done content writing for catalogues, blogs, and web sites, as well as academic writing for the Fletcher School of International Law and Diplomacy.
