Jeanna received her Master's degree in 2004 from CSU Stanislaus. During her education, she focused on American Literature post 1865, feminist literature, and social literature. Along with her literature degree, she also earned a dual degree in composition. In addition to her studies, she tutored in the writing center, taught composition courses, and presented at several writing conferences, including the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), a national composition conference. Jeanna was the chair at the 2004 Graduate Conference held at CSU Stanislaus and spoke on the V-Day Panel in 2003.
