Jonathan is a free-lance writer based in the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area. His writing career started with the Mesa (Ariz.) Tribune in 1988 at the age of 19 and since then my byline has appeared in more than two-dozen newspapers nationwide including the New York Daily News, Dallas Morning News, Tampa Tribune, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Kansas City Star and Chicago Sun-Times. Jonathan also has been free-lancing for the Associated Press' sports division since 1992, covering everything from major league baseball to the NBA, NHL, auto racing and rodeos. In addition, Jonathan spent three years as a political writer, first the Sun City Daily News-Sun and later for the Arizona Capitol Times.

Jonathan has been writing sports in the Phoenix area since 1988 and as free-lance writer since 1992. Jonathan has covered events ranging from high school sports to the NBA, Pacific-12 basketball and baseball, the NHL, major league baseball, among others. Jonathan also has written for the now-defunct College Sports Magazine and Bob Griese College Football preview.


Jonathan spent one session covering the Arizona Legislature for the Sun City (Ariz) Daily News-Sun and an additional 18 months working for the Arizona Capitol Times, a weekly which focuses exclusively on Arizona government issues. Jonathan has remained current as a political writer through his own self-published political blog.

Jonathan has self-published two blogs, All Phoenix Real Estate and Inside Dalton's Mind, and has written guests posts - paid and unpaid - on the Arizona Association of REALTORS's blog, Active Rain and other real estate sites.

Jonathan has been a Twitter user since late 2007 when the so-called fail whale still was a near-hourly visitor and hashtags had not yet been invented. Jonathan has used Twitter to promote his two self-published blogs and, as many users attempt to varying degrees of success, to showcase his humor.
