Writing has always been Michelle's main passion, and is the primary component of all of her work. However, about a decade ago, she did what many writers do, crossed over into the dark side—aka public relations, where she spent the bulk of her career. Michelle has been self-employed as a Communications Strategist for awhile, but she choose to limit her practice and spend spring 2016 returning to her original vocation—humorist, observational and factual writing and reporting. Her goal is to fully migrate into making a living writing alone by the end of the summer.

She recently started writing for popular sites including thecelebritycafe.com and fashionweek.com, however prior to the last few months, most of her writing in the past couple of years had been press releases, talking points, crisis communications strategies and pitches, as well as completing her first novel, Incompetencia: The Art of Looking Busy at a Non-Profit. She is a published author--she wrote the College Prowler: Guidebook for Columbia University and was the Editor-in-Chief of Columbia University’s Literary Magazine The Observer. She also penned restaurant reviews and short pieces for NYPress. Most Google searches of Michelle produce articles with her serving as media manager and spokesperson for Girl Scouts of the USA—a position she held for seven and a half years.
