Cody Heuer spent six years completing a double major at Southeast Missouri State University in the Department of Theatre and Dance. When he wasn't working toward his degree, he was actively participating in the University productions. His stage time included roles in Carousel, The 1940's Radio Hour, Sweet Charity, Guys and Dolls, A Streetcar Named Desire and many others. One of Cody's finals consisted of taking on the role of Billy Bigelow in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, directed by Dennis Courtney (Broadway actor/director). Fifty percent of his final involved writing a character biography in 3rd person which included a back-story, a thought-by-thought "in the moment of the script" character objective as well as a detailed family and friend relationship-connection essay.
As a professionally trained actor and freelance ghostwriter, one of Cody's missions is to document the words of those with a story to tell in a clear, honest and descriptive way. As a stage actor with over ten years of live theatre experience, Cody has developed an "ear" for dialogue and has incorporated it into his writing. As a certified life coach and Book-of-Life Specialist, Cody is well-versed in analogies and has grown accustomed with the task of relating "hard to understand" concepts to those seeking spiritual guidance. For example; a client once asked Cody to explain to her how the repetition of positive affirmations could actually train or re-shape a person's Subconscious Mind in writing. Following an in person or online meeting, Cody documents their ideas/personal memories and creates a fictional or historically based literary project of any length.
Cody constructs enticing facebook/online posts designed to bring attention to the correct clients concerning specific services and outreach functions. Using specific guidelines proposed by the client, Cody creates posts that not only peak interest but bring in interested customers. Past marketing opportunities have included instagram, twitter, facebook and linkedin. He has even used his own financial resources in order to spread the message to new markets and areas.
