Although she calls the United States her home, Amanda Taylor lived internationally in Germany, South Africa and the UK for most of her adult life. Living abroad, an eclectic work experience and formal communication education enables Amanda to bring a fresh perspective that displays in her writing.
When graduating from the University of Maryland European Division with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Communication, Amanda lead her class as the European Representative. Academic writing has been an integral part of Amanda receiving her Master of Arts degree in Communications and Leadership at Gonzaga University May 2016.
Just this last semester, Amanda completed a course in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Understanding research methods is vital to writing for topics across multiple fields. Research and content curation is one of Amanda’s areas of expertise and it allows for optimizing content to create a high level deliverable. Regardless if it is a field she is already familiar with or new territory, Amanda’s experience in research and communication serves her very well in her writing practices.
Amanda also received her Finishing Touch Program (International Etiquette) certificate at Minding Manners, Limited in London, England. She received her certification to teach etiquette to teens and children from the International School of Protocol in Maryland. Utilizing this training, Amanda has written several blog articles which speak to social etiquette practices. This writing involves keyword research, SEO best practices and style guide execution.
Having spent the last ten months at a start-up marketing automation company, Amanda has intensively studied marketing techniques including inbound and outbound marketing, SCRUM method, and keywords. This also included writing and designing blog articles, whitepapers, EBooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc. that increases qualified lead traffic to various landing pages. Seeing these content pieces through assisted Amanda in gaining a broader perspective of the whole process.
Amanda currently lives in Vista, California and enjoys the beach. She continues to enjoy reading, writing and researching.
