Hillsdale College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution with a rigorous academic reputation. Here Emily Jacobs majored in history and minored in English, while also studying economics, Spanish, music, and photography. During her years at Hillsdale College, she participated in choir and joined the women's music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota, and made the Dean's List for several semesters.
Emily has written numerous abstracts of existing medical-related articles and journals for a variety of healthcare-related clients. These include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Pharmacists Association, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the American Society for Nutrition, and the American Nurses Association. This work involved reading lengthy articles and research journals to determine the most relevant information. Depending on the client, these summaries targeted either health professionals or patients.
Emily has written a number of blog posts for a variety of clients as well as for her personal blog. These posts have covered a wide range of topics that include IT security, health (both pet and human), beauty, history, entertainment, travel, research, news and events, industry trends, social commentary, and client products and services.
Emily has composed copy for several clients' web pages. These web pages have focused primarily on the area of health care, but she is available for other subject and industry types, as well. Emily is particularly adept at creating condensed, to-the-point copy that conveys the necessary information in clear, concise language, while following clients' particular needs and instructions.
Emily has experience with writing articles of varying lengths, adapted to numerous styles and client specifications. Many of these articles have been written in AP style. These articles have applied to several types of industries, including business, medical, IT security, and history.
