Starting in 1988, Scott has worked in the engineering, financial, and software development industries. Drawing on the knowledge and experience gained in those fields, he did some freelance writing for The Motley Fool, a major on-line financial site. During 2014, he published over 30 articles on the U.S. energy industry, concentrating specifically on the midstream sector pipeline and shipping companies.
