Susan has held several positions that have helped her hone her writing skills. After leaving academia where she served as a lecturer and researcher, she entered the nonprofit world where she successfully wrote grant proposals to government agencies and foundations, and wrote periodic and final reports to those clients. She then became a fundraiser for socially responsible nonprofit organizations, helping them hone their client messages to reach fundraising goals in the millions of dollars.

Susan became a full-time freelance writer because of the breadth of her interests and her desire to share information with others. She has successfully written thousands of product descriptions for large companies, and several hundred Q & A entries for a well-known knowledge website on topics such as law, health, travel, history and the social sciences, with each entry backed up by credible research. She currently creates content for websites in the medical, legal, real estate, insurance and other arenas.
