Charli received her B.S. in Television Journalism from West Virginia University in 2010 with a minor in French. During her time there, she served as a reporter for the university TV station and covered on-campus issues. She also studied narrative and investigative journalism.
Charli worked remotely for a small consulting firm in Wisconsin by creating descriptions of numerous colleges and universities across the country. In each summary, she listed everything the school and its corresponding city had to offer, including admission rates, athletics, academics and course offerings, student life, campus organizations, and honors and achievements. She heavily researched each entry, gathering information from the institutions' website and known publications.
Charli hosts a personal blog, offering advice to young journalists. She uses her own experience to write candid, honest posts about what it's like to work in journalism, the importance of social media, and why choosing the right career for you is important. She actively promotes the blog on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
