Aaron earned his B.S. in Journalism at the nationally recognized E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. While in college, Aaron worked at the award-winning student newspaper, The Post.
Aaron went to CSU Long Beach for two years, taking education classes in the evening while teaching English and writing at the middle and high school levels during the day.
Aaron has worked as a freelance writer, once traveling to rural Brazil for a non-profit organization in Cincinnati. His job was document the work being done by this organization as well as the lives of those the organization was helping. He spent two weeks in Brazil, living in landless camps to get to know those being oppressed.
Aaron has extensive experience in sports writing, working as a sports writer before becoming a sports editor at multiple Ohio newspapers. In addition to writing for newspapers, Aaron wrote two non-fiction books about sports. His first, a biography of Marc Edwards, centered on a football star who overcame multiple obstacles to play football at Notre Dame and ultimately with the New England Patriots where he won a Super Bowl. Aaron's second book is a glimpse into the mental and psychological benefits gained from playing basketball weekly with a group of friends. The book centers on a group of men in Cincinnati who have been playing basketball together every Thursday night for the past thirty years.
Aaron has written copy for newsletters and other periodicals for local businesses and magazines. He puts his journalism background to good use in creating informative and engaging pieces.
As a sports writer and sports editor in the newspaper industry, Aaron wrote several articles per week as well as columns and human interest stories. His training at Ohio University and his skill in writing articles earned Aaron several Associated Press Society of Ohio awards for his writing, including Best Sports Writer and Best Sports Story.
