Adam has been published extensively in newspaper, magazine, academic, and blogging venues. He began writing on a whim in 1994 and was published for the first time in 1995 as a Teen Editorialist for the Tucson Citizen. Since then he has travelled the globe with the Air Force, written for a couple newspapers, blogged, and has written a number of articles for Christian devotionals and websites. Most recently, he was published on the "Patheos: Mission Work" Channel.
He also managed to squeeze in four years for seminary, and he is now the Connections Pastor at New Life Lutheran Church in Sterling, IL. He is pretty certain he has the most amazing job in the world, as he gets to preach once a month, organize ministries, raise money for people in need, and coach high school baseball.
Adam has a wide range of interests to include: Christian history and theology, the St. Louis Cardinals, professional wrestling, and (as a Rams fan) bad NFL football. He also cheers for the Nebraska Cornhuskers for college football, and the Kentucky Wildcats for college basketball. A career military brat, he never could choose a team, so he just picked the best ones and decided to go with it.
When he's not preaching, writing, or coaching, Adam can usually be found going wherever his wife and three sons tell him to go. The destination is almost always sports related. Adam also holds a great deal of affection for his dog, Cooper The Wonder Beagle, and the family Beta-Fish, Jonah.
