Justin has been working steadily in the entertainment industry for the past decade. A hardcore cinephile, he minored in Film Studies at Yale after turning down a spot at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He made his feature film debut in 2014's breakout Sundance hit, DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, and can be seen as the lead in the upcoming film, GET THE GIRL. One of Justin's first short films screened at Harvard when he was still in junior high, and he then ran a wedding videography business while still in high school. In addition to writing guest reviews for various blogs, he is currently in rewrites on two feature film scripts.
Justin has a long history with DIY projects and the hobby industry. After years working with sheet metal (building gutters for cathedrals and other exceptional properties), Justin built a raft that held up on a 1,700 mile journey down the Mississippi River. Since then, he has been a steady writer for DIY/hobby websites such as ManMadeDIY.com and DIYReady.com. He is always on the lookout for new projects to write about that allow him to capture the joyful experience of building new things.
As a millennial with an extensive knowledge of marketing principles, Justin has handled the social media campaigns of a couple companies – including his own. Justin recognizes the importance of crafting a unique voice in the world of social media and has a proven track record with campaigns like Zantigo Restaurants, which required an offbeat, somewhat cheesy voice inspired by the character Nacho Libre.
Justin began writing brochures and posters for numerous professional and campus organizations while still at Yale before going on to cover full brochures and written ads for companies such as Cargill, Winnebago Industries, and Itasca Motorhomes. He most recently wrote all of the physical and online brochures for the 2015 lineup of Winnebago and Itasca motorhomes.
Justin has a fantastic sense of the entire process involved in producing radio advertisements. He began writing scripts for DKY Integrated Marketing Communications' various industrial videos and radio campaigns. As a voice actor with a background in video production, Justin has an innate sense of how much to write and how much to leave up to the actor and production value to tell the story.
