Graduating from The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Japanese Language, Monica was the University representative at the Japanese Language and Culture Teaching Couching Course provided by The Japan Foundation in Saitama, Japan in 2011. She started working as a Japanese and English translator/interpreter in 2012 at Primacy Translations. Monica started working as an interpreter and translator at the Nissan Factory in Rio de Janeiro in 2013, interpreting meetings and trainings, aiding the communication of staff members. Currently she works as an interpreter for a project including JICA and the Brazilian Government, as well as for the Japanese Newspaper Asahi.
