Mercedes began Translation Studies at Universidad de Belgrano and has always felt attracted to practices that promote not only physical but also mental and spiritual health like yoga and meditation. For that reason, after moving back to Uruguay she began working as a Freelance Translator for institutes and organizations that focus on human welfare like the Love, Serve, Remember Foundation. Working for these organizations encouraged her to successfully complete her Postgraduate studies in Translation at Instituto Universitario Crandon.

Mercedes has been studying English since she was 8. At the age of 18 she received her first international English certification from the University of Cambridge and has been in contact with English culture its literature, films and music since very young.
Her language skills were the key that opened her first job opportunity as a receptionist in a bank at the age of 18. She has a special affinity for translations that promote people´s integral health.

She also traveled to Miami, working as Translator and Interpreter for a doctor in Traditional Chinese Medicine, experience that nurtured her affinity for translations that promote people´s integral health. This affinity led her to base her Postgraduate thesis on the founder of the Love, Serve Remember Foundation, Ram Dass and to later begin working for the organization.
