Hansi is an Anthropologist and a Proz Certified PRO Translator with experience in healthcare, education, social sciences, finance, business communications, dubbing, TV and sports.
He is currently a freelance translator and proofreader, and worked during the past 5 years for Gengo, Via, Inc, an many other translation agecies.
Beyond his home country, Hansi lived in Mexico City for about a year and traveled to South America as well, expanding his cultural and linguistic expertise of the Latin American region, all of which had a great impact on his cultural background and linguistic services.

During his year living in Mexico City, Hansi received an intensive training to translate and adapt TV scripts from English to Spanish for dubbing purposes; a very challenging job, but at the same time very rewarding, as it helped him not just to develop great translation skills and attention to details, but also to understand the cultural nuances when it comes to adapt English movies and TV shows to the Latin American region.

Hansi has completed over 30 corporate and employee communications, ranging from financial reports, forecasts and internal emails, to employee bulletins and subtitles for training videos. He has also helped proofreading the translations performed by his colleagues in order to make sure the translations are consistent with glossaries and general guidelines.
