After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Northwestern in Saint Paul, MN., José Luis went back to his homeland Ecuador and worked as translator of scripts for a major Christian broadcasting network. In Reach Beyond Ministries (formerly known as HCJB) José Luis translated scripts of a radio program called The Discipleship Hour, a 30-Minute program produced in the USA and broadcasted in Latin America and Europe and translated into several languages. Additionally, he translated scripts for the Spanish version of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association radio programs.
Based on his commitment, HCJB (now Reach Beyond) entrusted José Luis with another project: the translation of daily news during a two-year period for Mission Network News, a network that spreads information about the missionary activity around the world. As part of this project, José Luis translated all the content of www.mnnonline.org from English to Spanish.
