Ronald's native language is Spanish and he quickly learned English after being enrolled in a bilingual school in Honduras. When Ronald moved to the United States with his family, he continued to develop his language skills in his schooling, learning French in middle school, and Latin and Greek at Cornell University as an undergraduate. Ronald's aptitude in languages continued in his professional experiences, where he obtained an interpreting certificate for community medical health interpreting which is what originally introduced him to interpreting and translating professionally.

Ronald began as a volunteer for several non-profit agencies in the New Orleans area by doing community interpreting. As Ronald's experience and reputation grew in the community, Ronald took on dozen of projects doing translations from English to Spanish and Spanish to English. Some of the non-profit with which Ronald has experience translating, are Community Outreach non-profits, food banks, Catholic Charities, and Vietnamese serving organizations in New Orleans East.
