New talent will meet growing needs of 20,000 customers for translation services
Boston, MA (March 8, 2016) -- Today WriterAccess, the platform connecting thousands of US-based writers with agencies, SMBs, and Fortune 500 companies, announced that it is expanding its talent pool to include translators from all over the world to enable customers get the translation services they need.
“The demand for translation services is expected to grow from $38 billion in 2015 to $47 billion in 2018 worldwide,” said WriterAccess Founder and CEO Byron White. “At the same time, 59 percent of companies say choosing the right language service provider is the main obstacle to translating. With so many of our customers in need of this critical service, we’re very excited to open our platform to translators worldwide.”
Content marketing is growing rapidly and an increasing number of companies are taking their businesses international. But many companies struggle to find and hire reliable and professional translators. WriterAccess will solve this challenge with a network of thoroughly tested translators in many language combinations and price tiers. Translators can charge any rate, but minimum prices exist to prevent a race to the bottom.
Translation and localization expert Laura Pepitone joined the company in December to recruit the best translators. A Dutch native, Laura studied languages and international relations at Utrecht University and journalism at Columbia University in New York. She worked as a translation project manager for six years before joining WriterAccess to oversee the new PaaS translation environment.
