Ashleigh's interests lie mainly in her family. She enjoys spending time with her fiancee, young daughter, and her miniature Australian Shepherd. They enjoy spending time at the local park, having family game nights, visiting the animals at the petting zoo, and frequent dance parties in the living room.

Ashleigh spent three years as a primary writer, editor and proofreader for an adoption based media company. She wrote and edited hundreds of articles for the web, brochures, training manuals and marketing materials. She wrote and edited articles on topics such as adoption law, adoption process, advice for adoptive families and birth parents, infertility, surrogacy, adoptees and much more. She was integral in training incoming employees on writing styles and editing standards.
Ashleigh was the sole writer and editor of the student newsletter for Student Money Management Services at the University of Kansas. She spent more than a year writing and editing educational pieces aimed at helping students manage their finances. Ashleigh was in charge of the entire production of the monthly newsletter, which included writing, editing, and design.
Ashleigh spent time as a copy editor for both the Pioneer Press and the University Daily Kansan newspapers. During her time with these newspapers, she edited articles, wrote headlines, and proofread pages of the newspaper before printing.
During her time at American Family Media, Ashleigh proofread several brochures and other marketing materials for accuracy prior to printing. These marketing materials are currently being used by one of the nation's largest and most reputable adoption agencies and its sister companies.
Ashleigh worked as a copy editor for multiple newspapers where she edited articles for accuracy, clarity, style and grammar. She worked closely with writers and fellow editors the ensure top quality articles were presented in the daily paper and online. She has also worked as and editor and writer for American Family Media where she worked with her peers to edit articles for the web.
Ashleigh worked as the managing editor of a bi-monthly newsletter for American Adoptions. While she did provide content for the newsletter, she also edited all content submitted by others. She managed all aspects of newsletter production from layout to writing to proofreading.
Ashleigh worked as part of a team of editors to ensure accuracy and clarity across multiple websites. This included editing and proofreading home pages, landing pages, article pages, about pages, etc.
