At FindLaw, part of Thomson Reuters, Domenic’s initial responsibilities included editing and reviewing national and international marketing copy for clarity, accuracy and presentation. He quickly became a subject-matter expert on all things grammar was regarded as a reliable, approachable resource for the writing staff. He also worked proactively to ensure the completion of expedited content and projects outside normal systems by collaborating with the writing staff and the other editors.

Domenic regularly looked for opportunities to ensure FindLaw’s clients received the best content possible. He proactively reviewed content for readability and usability concerns, and he took measures to ensure any content written was 100 percent authentic. As the company's processes and products evolved, changed and launched, he was the editor most heavily involved with their development.

This led the company to create a Senior Copy Editor role for Domenic. In addition to his previous responsibilities, he served as a mentor to writers when necessary and appropriate.

Specialties

Domenic specializes in AP Style, though he is also familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and the Modern Language Association (MLA) style. But beyond style guides, he knows when to trust his editorial instincts to best meet the needs of each client.

He has spent years editing marketing copy and blog content, and he's also edited various academic works, journalism articles and stories.

Independent of FindLaw, Domenic joined the esports news outlet ggChronicle (ggchronicle.com, now defunct). He reviewed, edited and rewrote competitive gaming news articles and editorials to ensure technical accuracy, direct the narrative and present the material clearly while also managing the deadlines of the writing staff. He also helped develop and implement ggChronicle's house writing style.

Domenic served as an intern with MLB Trade Rumors (mlbtraderumors.com). During this time, he copyedited for the writing team as it reported breaking developments and analysis within the Major League Baseball news system.

Interests

Domenic's personal interests include music, technology, sports, video games (personal and competitive), politics, social and community issues, and food and drink.

But beyond that, he's willing to approach any topic with an open mind. He'll apply the same diligence to a technical SOP manual for an event manager as he would to an article on the League of Legends World Championship.
