Aidan has been a hobby artist since their early teenage years, migrating to digital art in late secondary school. They have a B.A. (Illustration & Visual Communication) from the University of Westminster in London, UK, which includes a semester abroad in B.Des. (Game Design) at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Between 2017-2018 they have been an independent small press artist, selling original artwork in form of prints, stickers and badges at anime & comic conventions across the UK and Germany, as well as accepting character sketch commissions for private clients. Since 2019 they have been volunteering with their local food bank, for whom they are creating promotional and informative print design.

Projects include illustrated merchandise, comic strips, art assets for game jams, cover design and promotional print design such as business cards, flyers, posters and signage.

Specialties

Aidan specializes in digital illustration and illustrated graphic design. They especially enjoy character art, narrative illustration, conceptual illustration and combining illustration with typography and geometric shapes to create designs with an organic, hand-drawn feel.

Interests

Aidan’s interests are settled at the intersection of fantasy, storytelling, personal growth and public service. They care deeply about ecological sustainability, animal welfare, social justice, diversity & inclusion and mental health. Their hobbies include travel, tabletop role play, photography, K-pop dance and singing.

Graduated with upper second class honours. The programme focused mainly on project work. Projects include book illustration, zine creation, hand lettering, hand-drawn animation and web design as well as concept art, 3D modelling and 3D sculpting.
