Janice is also a studio jewelry artist working in fabrication of precious metals and enameling when she is not doing graphic design. Recently inspired by the potential of 3-D printing, she has embarked on a journey of learning ZBrush 3-D sculpting to add to her skill set.
Studies included packaging design, graphic design and marketing.
Janice studied foundation art classes in drawing, painting, design, and also explored metal, photography, woodworking, ceramics and various art/design history classes as an undergrad. Additionally she studied dance and psychology at the junior college level. Gradually she chipped away at her degree part-time, while working as a full-time & freelance graphic designer. Fully immersed in the L.A. lifestyle, exploring the diversity of its rich art museums/galleries, along with meeting people of all different backgrounds in various colleges and schools she attended there, shaped who she is today as an artist and a person.
Janice has worked extensively in the banking industry including as a full-time position in the graphics department of a bank and also as a contract designer for credit unions across the United States. The projects she worked on ranged from newsletter design and production to full campaigns with posters and direct mail. In addition, Janice also created web banners and email blasts.

She even designed outdoor signage and an ATM wrap for California Bear Credit Union in downtown Los Angeles.
Janice worked as a full-time graphic designer for three years in the graphics department of a well known beauty company. She assisted on the art direction of photo shoots for a major brand. As a freelancer, Janice was hired for creation of several branding projects for the tween market including the creation of style guides.
Janice has worked in the toy industry, both freelancing in addition to an on staff position. She worked on many licensed properties including Disney, Warner Brothers and Nickelodeon, following the style guides and producing consumer packaged goods for this sector. She worked as a contractor at a game company in which she did production on user manuals.
Janice has direct knowledge of the craft industry, specifically with the handmade sector. Currently learning 3-D printing technology to enhance her own personal projects.
She has in depth knowledge on how to promote on social media and would love to work with anyone in this area to design branding, packaging or help with digital marketing.
Additionally, she has extensively researched the print on demand and small batch printing industry which lends itself to incredibly creative ways of branding for small businesses.
Janice designed an OTC retail package including logo design, merchandising display and marketing materials.
I have experience creating tri-folds, one sheets, flyers, postcards and mailers.
Janice can create static and simple gif animated banner ads.
Janice completes full research and development of logo designs from concept through to completion. This includes providing final artwork in various formats for use across marketing channels. Janice's love of typography really shines in this area.
Janice has completed many print ad layouts over the course of her career, from full page to fractional ads for publications. During a stint as an art director for a magazine, she also checked ads for compliance and proper production methods.
Janice has designed and produced several print newsletters for credit unions.
Janice can create responsive emails in Coffee Cup Responsive E-mail Design software. She provides an HTML file for the client to handle the marketing side of uploading and distribution to their email lists.
As a freelance designer for credit unions in the United States, and working with a marketing director, Janice created many direct mail pieces, from tri-fold brochures to postcards and printed envelopes with letters for pre-approval or other campaigns.
Janice uses a variety of tools to create digital illustrations, including hand drawn elements, painting, print making, etc. Scanning these in separately and then combining with Photoshop and/or Illustrator lends itself to truly original works.
Janice can do simple gif animations in Photoshop for use in social media graphics or banner ads.
